Pioneering work in the field of Optical Isomer Molecular Synthesis.
During his Junior year at Utah State, Bob was offered an unheard of position to perform original research in the Chemistry Department at USU. Bob worked alongside the department's PhD candidates doing research into Optical Isomer synthesis. Bob was the only undergraduate so honored.
During his Junior and Senior years at Utah State, Bob's work was twice published in the journal TETRAHEDRON LETTERS. Tetrahedron Letters is the peer-reviewed international professional journal for original research in the field of Organic Chemistry.
Bob's cutting edge research involved using a technique known as "Steric Hinderance" to push the synthesis of a molecule with a new chiral center into a non-racemic mixture of optical isomer products.
Research Significance
A specific example of the importance of Dr Whipple's work is the antibiotic named Levofloxacin. The pure optical isomer drug Levofloxacin received FDA approval some 18 years after Dr Whipple's pioneeriong work in the same field. Levofloxacin resulted in (safely) doubling the concentration of antibiotic in an infected person's bloodstream (exponentially) increasing its efficacy in curing infection...... with absolutely zero increase in toxicity.

STEPHANY WHIPPLE - resort operations
Stephany was born in Salmon, Idaho and grew up in Newport Beach, California. Stephany was "discovered" at age fourteen by ELITE Models and was immediately contracted. Stephany's modeling career included print advertising for client Ralph Loren. as well as other well known clothiung designers.
Stephany left the modeling world to attend Loyola Marymount University being graduated Bachelor of Arts after four years of study.
Following Loyola, Stephany moved to Las Vegas to begin what would turn out to be a twenty year career at Wynn Resorts. . Stephany joined the Wynn team during startup operations for BELLAGIO with subsequent moves to open and operate THE WYNN followed by ENCORE.
Stephany left the Las Vegas south strip resort world to join Bob Whipple in Marriage and Medicine. Bob and Stephany said their vows in the Wynn Hotel Wedding Salon.
In addition to a wealth of life experience and education, Stephany's awareness of the need for good medical care for Las Vegas visitors led to Emerald Bay's mission to bring quality medical care to the hotel room. Stephany recognized an unmet need for top quality medical care for everyone in Las Vegas including our valued visitors.
Too often our tourists received sub standard care by whatever Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner happened to be on duty at some random Urgent Care or they sat hours iinside an Emergency Room being exposed to COVID, Influenza and other communicable illnesses because they did not know where else to go for care.
Stephany's concern for the welfare of Vegas' visitors drives her quest to provide the option of a top level physician to provide the best available medical care to the privacy of the hotel room.
