Our physician, Robert Whipple, MD, brings diverse life experience into the exam room.
Construction: Dr Whipple started in the Las Vegas building industry as a laborer for Durable Developers while in High School and continued that work while in college and Medical School . Besides Durable Developers, "Bobby" worked for Las Vegas steel fabricator Steel Incorporated and Rick Humphrey Excavation in Reno. Bobby rose through the ranks and in 1982 at the age of 23, Bobby was promoted by long-time Nevada native Jerry Bruner to to run all Las Vegas operations for J & S Construction. Bobby operated J & S until leaving the construction industry in 1984 to accept a commission in the U S Air Force.
Military Service: During seven years on active duty, Captain Whipple was graduated from Flight School, B 52 Combat Crew Training and Flight Instructor School. Serving with with distinction at Anderson Air Base, Guam, Captain Whipple was decorated upon returning to the "states" as a Flight Instructor in 1988. While at Anderson, Captain Whipple flew missions over the South Pacific (Austrailia), Western Pacific (Micronesia, Philippines, Japan and Korea), Indian Ocean (Diego Garcia, West Indies, East Africa and Persian Gulf).. A flight instructor from 1988 until 1991, Captain Whipple was again decorated upon leaving the Air Force to attend Medical School . Between 1988 and 1991, which included the first Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm), Captain Whipple held the coveted positions of Squadron Standardization and Evaluation Officer and Flight Commander.
As a father of four, including being a single-parent during Medical School and while flying B52 Bombers in Guam, Dr. Whipple has lived life and known adversity. Dr. Whipple brings myriad life and work experience into the exam room and truly understands hardship. No matter what difficulty you are facinhg, you will find Dr Whipple cares and truly understands. You matter to Dr Whipple.
Experience and Professionalism
Following three years of Internal Medicine residency, Dr Whipple was Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine In 2000.
Before moving into outpatient clinical practice in 2005, Dr Whipple worked as a Hospitalist for seven years. During his hospital practice, Dr Whipple was set apart as hospital Medical Director at Mountainview Hospital in addition to serving as Chairman of the hospital's Physician Credentialing Committee.
Dr Whipple has practiced medicine for over 25 years in Las Vegas and brings vast experience into the exam room. Whatever you are struggling with........ Dr Whipple has likely seen it and knows the best way to diagnose and teat it.
